Acupuncture
An acupuncture session can be very relaxing. Acupuncture activates your bodies innate ability to heal. By switching your nervous system from fight or flight to rest and digest, your body can do what it does so well, return to balance and heal.
If you think of a river that has a dam, it gets stuck and stagnate. Acupuncture helps energy freely circulate through the body. When the energy (qi) and blood move freely there is no pain or issues, when there is a blockage that is when we get pain and illness.
Acupuncture has been around for thousands of years, a testament to its power. We can treat mostly anything that does not require immediate emergency medical attention, like a surgery, or if it is a structural issue.
We use tiny single use needles, (the size of a human hair). You may feel heaviness, warmth, tingly, numbness, but you will likely forget most of the needle are there, and drift into that lovely between wake and sleep state.
Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture
Facial acupuncture illuminates your glow, working from the inside out and from the outside in. It promotes the production of collagen, and eases fine lines. And it can increase facial tone, decrease puffiness around the eyes, and enhance the radiance of the complexion. I have completed advanced Facial Acupuncture training with Michelle Gellis, a leader in this field. This luxurious treatment includes microscopic facial needles, gentle glass suction cupping, and light gua sha (using a sleek jade tool) to smooth away stress and fatigue and bring your best face forward. The treatment is customized to you, bringing balance to your whole body. This gentle effective practice takes time and consistency as it is not an aggressive medical procedure, and instead works with your body’s innate healing ability. You can immediately see a nice glow, however around 10 weekly treatments are advised to see deeper improvements, and then ideally maintained with treatments every 6 to 12 weeks to keep your skin glowing, smooth, and refreshed.
Tradional Chinese Herbal Medicine
Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) herbs can be customized to each patient at an amazing level of detail. TCM herbs are powerful to work with your individual constitution and condition and are adapted and modified as needed.
TCM herbs are great for a number of issues including sleep, mood, digestion, allergies, hormone, menstruation, sweating, and much more.
I use only vegan herbs. They are in potent individual sachets which can be easily modified, which are then mixed into tee to drink. (Not a tasty type of savoring tea, but a drink it quickly, you can taste how powerful it is type of tea).
If you are inserested in TCM herbs, we can discuss adding them to your treatment at your acupuncture appointment.
Cupping Massage
A favourite of many Cupping Massage uses silicone cups to relieve tension, improve circulation, and detoxify the body. Cups are placed in multiple parts of the body simultaneously to provide a deep, thorough, and highly satisfying treatment.
